We are looking for candidates who are seeking career development and enhancement. These positions have excellent long-term career prospects for the right people. You will work alongside senior solicitors who can offer you training and supervision if necessary.
This department has nearly doubled in turnover in the last 18 months and is growing rapidly. We offer enhanced in-house training in wills and probate. We regularly win at the British Wills and Probate Awards, Jacqueline Emmerson is a judge for those and other awards. We are Dementia Friends and used to chair Gosforth Dementia Friendly Group.
We deal with numerous high net worth estates. Therefore you will be expected to deal with estate planning and estates which require IHT 400’s. Many of our estates are worth over £1 million. We are often appointed as executors and thus deal with registration of deaths, organising funerals, house insurance, locksmiths, auctioneers, our Clear and Clean team as well as organising Red Book valuations and dealing with estate agents. We also deal with contested estates on a regular basis.
This is a very strong team. We are looking for either junior candidates with some experience in this area of law all the way up to partnership level.
We can offer you good quality work, many of our clients are business owners, professionals and investors. We do not ask fee earners to fill in six minute units, we prefer to look at billing.
We can offer flexible start and finish times which may be advantageous to those with family commitments and the opportunity to undertake cases in other areas of law should you so wish. There is the opportunity to work from our Sunderland office or our Newcastle office.
Please note that these are office-based positions rather than remote working. However, if you are a full time fee earner we can be flexible about this part of the week.
We obtain good quality work from individuals, their families and businesses. We have many repeat clients. We constantly monitor file numbers so that fee earners have a manageable caseload. We concentrate on quality of work and pricing rather than high volumes.
