Job Summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work at a large nursery setting.
This position would suit those looking for the next step in their career. You will be supporting Practitioners with up to level 5 qualification and contribute to operational management within a team in a setting or service whose main aim is children’s care, learning and development in partnership with their families, service providers and stakeholders.
The candidate will work within a room within the pre-school division of our large setting. You will work to promote, encourage and cascade good practice throughout the setting.
The individual must have a sound knowledge of the EYFS and/or primary school reception class curriculum and desire to develop their leadership skills further. There are also great training opportunities available for the successful candidate.
You must have excellent written and communication skills. You must be confident, flexible and have the ability to adapt, to multi-task and to use your own initiative.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision of the children and staff,
- Talking to parents helping with planning within the Nursery,
- Completing children’s profiles,
- Writing children’s reports,
- Staying up-to-date with and tracking children’s progress,
- Carrying out observations,
- Be a key person to a group of children,
- Fostering setting/parent partnerships,
- Using curriculum's such as the EYFS to promote good practice and to promote positive and creative learning.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
