Due to continued success, we are looking to recruit 1 Production Operator to join our busy and fast-paced Solder Resist team at Garner Osborne Circuits.
We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Solder Resist Printer Operator to join our printed circuit board (PCB) production team. The primary focus of this role is the accurate and consistent printing of solder resist (also known as solder mask) onto PCBs using artwork. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of solder resist processes, printing equipment, and the importance of precision in high-quality PCB manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate solder resist printing equipment.
- Inspect printing machines and PCBs for cleanliness and readiness prior to printing.
- Perform test prints to confirm alignment and quality, making adjustments as necessary.
- Monitor the printing process to maintain consistent alignment and thickness.
- Handle boards with care to prevent damage or contamination before, during, and after printing.
- Work closely with the imaging and developing teams to ensure seamless process flow.
- Conduct visual inspections and use measurement tools (e.g., microscopes) to verify print quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Document process parameters and report any deviations or defects to the supervisor or quality control.
- Follow all safety and cleanroom protocols, including the use of PPE and handling of chemicals.

Requirements and skills:
Essential:
- Conversational level of verbal communication skills in English
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to fine detail.
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment with chemicals and solvents.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy for inputting data and following digital work instructions.
Desirable:
- Prior experience operating screen printing or solder resist equipment in a PCB manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of solder mask materials and handling procedures preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret PCB fabrication process documentation.
