Working hours: Monday - Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00 Friday: 08:30 – 15:30
Salary: £25,065, rising to £25,805 upon successful completion of training

The role
Due to the rapid growth of the business, we are seeking motivated individuals to join the team as Soldering Operatives. As a Solderer, you will be primarily responsible for building PCB assemblies to IPC610 class 2 standard by hand-soldering thru-hole components and complete component fit and crop. You will also follow PCB cleaning processes.
The successful person will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and precision, excellent team-work and the ability to handle small hand tools and production equipment.
Whilst previous Soldering experience is very beneficial, we are keen to hear from people who have similar experience within a manufacturing environment and transferable skills which can add value to our business.
Primary duties & responsibilities
- To build products according to customer specifications and requirements
- To ensure all work is completed to specified levels of acceptable workmanship
- To follow Company procedures and work instructions at all times
- To undertake all provided training
- Adhere to the Health and Safety requirements and regulations
- Adhere to the Company IT and Data policy
- Comply with the statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
- Carry out any other reasonable request which is for the benefit of the business
- Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained
The ideal person will demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience in a Production/Assembly role within a similar manufacturing industry
- The ability to handle small hand tools and soldering equipment
- Excellent communication and team-work
- Attention to detail
- Computer literate
- The ability to follow instructions and understand works orders
- Hand soldering experience is preferred but not essential
- IPC610 or IPC2/3 Certification would be desirable
