Turn data into smarter services – help shape how we keep Kensington and Chelsea moving.
As our Parking Business Analytics Officer, you’ll be the person who helps us understand what’s working, identify what could be better and offer data-driven insights to shape the future direction of the service.
Those insights will drive better decision making and shape services to improve the lives of our local community.
Working Style:
You’ll be based in the Borough at least 3 days of your working week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you’ll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents’ lives.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be our go-to specialist for data and analysis across Parking Services – covering everything from resident permits and visitor parking to enforcement and traffic contraventions. Working with a wide range of information sources, you’ll turn complex datasets into clear insights that help us improve performance, inform council policy, and support strategic planning.
Using tools like Excel, GIS and Power BI, you’ll analyse patterns, spot problems, and highlight opportunities for improvement. You’ll also build forecasting models, track key metrics, and help translate our business needs into smart, practical solutions. Whether it’s conducting equality impact assessments, contributing to service reviews, or presenting your findings to senior managers, your work will be vital to how we evolve our services.
You’ll collaborate with teams across the council and external partners, contribute to change programmes, and help shape the big picture by keeping your finger on the pulse of local government policy. The role is varied and fast-moving – perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, managing projects, and turning numbers into meaningful action.

What you’ll bring
You’ll have experience in business intelligence or analytics, with the skills to gather, interpret and present data in a way that supports strong decision-making. You’re confident using analytical tools and spreadsheets, and you know how to manage multiple priorities in a busy, changing environment.
You’ll be a great communicator – able to explain complex ideas to non-specialist audiences and work collaboratively across teams. Project management experience will also be an asset, as will any knowledge of Parking Services or local government. Most of all, you’re someone who takes pride in making services work better, is proactive about finding improvements, and always keeps the end user in mind.
