Summary
In the role of a Warehouse Associate, you will be integral to the efficient operation of our warehouse, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include materials handling, shipping and receiving, and load and unload tasks. With core skills in materials handling and premium skills in PPT and forklift operation and warehouse management systems, you will ensure that inventory is managed effectively. Responsibilities
- Operate PPT, forklifts and other materials handling equipment to load and unload goods safely.
- Manage inventory through a warehouse management system, ensuring accurate tracking of shipments.
- Perform heavy lifting and assist with shipping and receiving tasks as required.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse processes and ensure timely deliveries.
- Order picking, retrieving products from a warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders, requiring speed, accuracy, and efficiency, and is a crucial step in order fulfillment
- Order picking and stock rotation, especially using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method, are crucial for efficient inventory management, ensuring the oldest stock is used first, reducing waste, and maintaining product freshness
- To organize stock effectively, categorize items, label clearly, and conduct regular inventory audits
