Nationwide Transport & Training Group Ltd operate a number of business divisions in the areas of transport management and compliance, training, tachograph analysis, freight forwarding, pallet logistics and customs clearance.
We are recruiting for an Office Admin Support position to support our growing business based at our office at Ledcom Industrial Estate, Larne.
We are seeking someone to support the office function working on all business admin including our transport compliance, transport training, pallet logistics and customs clearance departments.
This role will include the administrative support associated with working in a busy transport compliance and training business, including running reports, inputting information into project management software, using Microsoft Office products such as Word and Office, Full training will be given on all aspects of work although previous experience in a transport business is advantageous.
There is an opportunity for the right person to contribute their ideas on how the business should be operated as we are only in our fourth year of business. We therefore seek someone with a bit of professional experience and someone who is confident enough to contribute ideas.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and be commercially aware with great attention to detail. They will work well as part of a team and will promote good working relationships with internal and external colleagues. You will liaise both internally & externally to ensure all company processes and procedures are followed, enabling the efficient delivery of services across UK & Ireland North & South.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the business in all areas of the office.
- Invoicing, reconciliation, liaising with clients and suppliers, general back office tasks, planning and scheduling logistics work, general administration tasks, preparing reports for clients, customs clearance processes, assisting the Managing Director.
- A minimum of two year's administrative experience within a (preferably) transport/logistics/customs office, although a good strong general admin candidate who can be trained may be suitable. .
- Experience in the use of Microsoft office products, in particular word and excel. There is a reliance within the business on Microsoft Excel in particular along with CRM and project management software so confidence on a computer is important.
- Effective communication skills - requirement to communicate with clients and suppliers by email or telephone.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Good organisational skills with an ability to prioritise own workload.
- Flexibility to work in a new and changing environment.
- Be a team player. We have a small team with a great office atmosphere. We are looking for a positive person.
Full Training will be provided in all aspects of how the business operates.
