At Beacon lane day nursery, we provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn, grow, and thrive. We’re now looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our friendly team and prepare healthy, delicious meals for our little ones.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for
- Preparing nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 0–5 years.
- Catering for special dietary needs and allergies.
- Maintaining excellent hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Ordering and managing stock effectively.
- Working closely with staff to plan menus that meet children’s needs and follow EYFS guidelines
About you:
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in cooking for groups (ideally in a nursery, school, or care setting).
- Holds a Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (or is willing to complete one).
- Understands dietary requirements for young children.
- Is organised, reliable, and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Has a genuine love of preparing fresh, healthy food
