We are expanding our passive fire protection division and are looking for skilled Fire Stopping Operatives to join our team in London.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fire Stopping Operative specialising in penetration sealing to carry out installation works to a high standard, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications, site requirements, and current fire safety regulations. with the option for those who want to progress their career further.
You will be working on a variety of construction and refurbishment projects, installing firestopping solutions to service penetrations, walls, floors, and other building elements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install firestopping and penetration sealing systems in line with project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Work with fire-rated boards, sealants, collars, wraps, and other approved fire protection products.
- Ensure correct preparation and application of fire-stopping materials for pipes, ducts, cables, and other penetrations.
- Carry out works safely, maintaining site cleanliness and protecting surrounding areas.
- Accurately complete records, installation logs, and photographic evidence for quality assurance and third-party certification.
- Liaise with supervisors, site managers, and other trades to coordinate works.
- Adhere to all company H&S policies, PPE requirements, and RAMS.
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience in fire-stopping / passive fire protection installation.
- Strong knowledge of penetration sealing systems and relevant regulations (BS 476, EN 1366, etc.).
- Ability to read and work from construction drawings.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach.
- Right to work in the UK.
