Salary: £25,733 - £32,165 plus a discretionary bonus potential of up to 8% of annual salary

Reporting to: Third Party Metering Manager

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

The Metering Contractor team are responsible for the delivery of national meter reading activities and the management of our reading contractors.

The team is looking for a Meter Read Contract Co-ordinator to support the Third Party Metering Manager and assist in the delivery of meter reading activities and associated services, inline with market code requirements, customer contractual requirements, and contractors agreed levels of service, while helping us to continue to develop our great and wonderful culture.

The role will suit you if you are highly organised, with great attention to detail, and have the ability to collate and analyse large sets of data.


WHAT WILL YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?

  • Building strong working relationships with our contract providers and working in a collaborative fashion to resolve issues.
  • Instructing and monitoring contractors to deliver vital meter reading services and providing data in a clear and concise format.
  • Scheduling, maintaining read frequency logs, H&S logs, supporting with transfers, arranging ad-hoc read requests, complaint handling, and quality management are a few of the activities you will be involved in.
  • Following processes to carry out the above activities, and looking for improvements to ensure our services and data are accurate and meet the required standards.
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills, and a confident, persuasive telephone and written manner, via daily correspondence with contractors, customers, and internal or external stakeholders.
  • Liaising with and developing effective working relationships with internal teams such as Metering Technical, Metering Transactional, Customer Experience, Onboarding, Systems, Billing and Wholesale/Settlements.
  • Problem solving and taking ownership of issues from identification through to resolution, whilst continuously looking for improvements
  • Collating, analysing, and interpreting complex data with a high level of accuracy.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

You will be:

  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and task focused with excellent time management skills.
  • A strong, enthusiastic team player, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Aware of monitoring tools, such as KPI’s.
  • An effective communicator with excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to prioritise workstreams and meet deadlines whilst retaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to adapt to change and strive for continuous improvement with the ability to learn new skills.
  • Fully computer literate with a high level of competence in Excel and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Educated to GCSE standard with at least Grade 4 (C) in English and Math.
