Mossfords is a family business, established in 1821 and together with various other trading companies offer memorial masonry including supply of new memorials, memorial maintenance and monument restoration and refurbishment services.
We are currently recruiting for the position of Memorial Mason to work for Mossfords memorial established in 1821.
Required Experience and skills
- Punctual.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Be able to lift and handle materials. Manual handling training will be given.
- Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred but not essential Qualifications, experience and skills
- Overhead Gantry experience
- Forklift License
- Manual handling and abrasive wheels
The Role
Polishing granite headstones and preparation memorials to be fix in cemetery, working close with production manager to meet the deadlines.
Cut stones and concrete foundation.
Drill stones and foundations to Bramm regulations
Other workshop duties including sandblasting, fitting rubber, painting an gilding
Working conditions and physical effort
- This position requires significant physical effort and the post holder must be physically fit and must declare any illness or medical condition on application for the position.
- There may be exposure to physical risk from lifting / manual handling materials. Manual handling training will be given.
- A full health and safety induction and job specific training will be given.
