Job Title: Medical Rota Co-ordinator

What you’ll be responsible for:
· Overseeing the administrative compilation of effective on-call consultant and junior doctor rotas, working with clinical leads and operational managers to deliver safe and cost effective care.
· Providing oversight of clinical absence management, ensuring timely records and escalation of issues to Clinical Directors/ Directorate Managers and/or Associate Medical Director where appropriate. Use established processes for the recording of absence for all staff.
· Oversee organisation for commencement of clinical colleagues, including induction and training.
· Supporting the Directorate in its achievement of compliance against Appraisals & Essentials Training
· Providing administrative support to assessing risks as and when required.
· The on-going use of Health Roster, optimising its full functionality to ensure the most efficient processes are adopted to ensure fill rates and both manager and temporary workforce staff member experience are of a high standard
· Acting as an escalation point for all temporary workforce activities
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
NHS Information & IT systems
Experience of dealing with difficult operational issues
18 week Referral to Treatment pathways
Knowledge of administrative procedures & specialised terminology
Keyboard skills/advanced use of IT packages, manipulating data
Excellent communication skills
