Role Summary
We are currently seeking a professional and compassionate Hospital Receptionist/ Patient Care Administrator to join our front-of-house and administrative team. This is a dual role that combines front desk reception duties with patient-facing care coordination and administrative support.
As the first point of contact for our patients, your role is vital in ensuring a seamless and supportive experience throughout their clinical journey. You will also be responsible for supporting the medical and management team with secretarial and operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner
- Answer incoming calls and respond to enquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence
- Schedule and manage appointments, consultations, and surgical bookings
- Maintain clinician diaries and hospital timetables
- Handle patient admissions, discharges, and coordination of pre-operative paperwork
- Provide secretarial support including taking minutes, typing reports, and managing internal communications
- Coordinate meetings, events, and clinical reviews
- Liaise with consultants, patients, nursing teams, and external healthcare partners
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold data protection standards
- Ensure the reception area and patient waiting spaces are presentable and welcoming at all times
