Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and have a passion for providing exceptional patient care. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment within our medical practice.
The job has two parts to it
- 80% Medical Receptionist duties: welcoming patients, managing appointments, and supporting clinical staff.
- 20% Social Media support: assisting with posting, scheduling, and promoting clinic updates across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn).
This role is in-person only at our Chelsea clinic. As we are a small but growing team, teamwork, flexibility, and a proactive attitude are essential.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Process patient registrations and collect necessary information for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation of the reception area to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Social Media Support (20%)
- Assist in creating, scheduling, and posting social media content (training will be provided if needed).
- Engage with followers and respond to basic online enquiries/messages.
- Work with management on campaigns for awareness (e.g., Endometriosis Awareness Month, Fibroid Awareness).
- Use tools like Canva or Instagram Reels/TikTok to prepare simple, engaging posts.
- Track basic performance metrics (likes, reach, engagement) and provide feedback.
Requirements
- Previous office experience is ESSENTIAL, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Strong administrative experience with proficiency in using office software and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A compassionate approach towards patients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.

Pay: £21,500.00-£25,500.00 per year
