About the role:
A vacancy has arisen for a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) in our Sample Reception Area based at Whittington Hospital.
The successful candidate will also be required to enter patient requests into the pathology computer system (Microsoft, TD Micro, WinPath and Helix) and carry out clerical duties. Staff will be required to assist in handling and distribution of incoming and outgoing goods, equipment, specimens and reagents as well as managing the laboratory office.
The laboratory operates a 24/7 service so the successful candidate will be expected to participate in shifts to cover this timeframe and to manage all on-site testing.
