ROLE PURPOSE STATEMENT
Canonbury Products Ltd is comprised of two brands:
- Canonbury Healthcare Products: A B2B company selling medical equipment primarily to professionals in the Podiatry industry
- Simply Feet: A B2C company selling footwear and foot health-related items to consumers
As a key support within our marketing team, the Marketing Assistant will help with day-to-day administrative and executional tasks across website product maintenance, exhibitions, social media, email marketing and content sourcing. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing, with full training provided.
WORKING HOURS
This is a reduced-hours role, ideally working Monday to Friday, 9am to 2pm.
This role is based at our headquarters in Brackley, Northamptonshire, and will initially be office-based to support training, collaboration, and onboarding.
We’re open to discussing hybrid working arrangements once the successful candidate is fully settled into the role.
Occasional attendance at exhibitions may be required, with advanced notice and flexibility on both sides.

1.2 Relationships
Builds strong internal relationships across the business, particularly with Sales and Customer Service. Works collaboratively with the wider marketing team and may liaise with exhibition organisers and third-party platforms where appropriate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Support with product content maintenance on the website, checking for missing images or descriptions and ensuring products appear in the correct categories.
- Support the management of exhibition administration by maintaining accurate documentation, including booking details (hotels and stand space), stock requirements, and uploading Canonbury information to external event portals to ensure a strong brand presence.
- Assist with maintaining competitor analysis records, keeping an eye on competitor marketing activity, product positioning, and pricing to support internal planning and benchmarking.
- Support the coordination of future CPD webinars and Canonbury Conferences, including liaising with presenters, assisting with promotional updates, and maintaining event details across platforms such as Eventbrite and Zoom.
- Identify and log ideas for blog topics, webinars, newsletter topics and social media content by keeping up to date with industry trends, publications and practitioner posts.
- During periods of annual leave within the team you’ll be required to assist with the creation and build of marketing emails in DotDigital. Basic image manipulation using tools such as Photoshop or Canva may occasionally be required.
- Assist with social media activity by planning and scheduling content, particularly during periods of annual leave, and helping to gather user-generated content by identifying and liaising with practitioners online.
- Support with general marketing admin as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across campaigns and platforms.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
3.1 Qualifications
No formal marketing qualification required, but a good standard of education is expected. An interest or understanding of marketing or communications is advantageous.
3.2 Experience
No previous marketing experience required as this is an entry-level role.
3.3 Business skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions and processes confidently
- Willingness to learn and get involved in a range of tasks
3.4 Technical skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Experience using design platforms such as Photoshop or Canva is desirable
- Familiarity with digital platforms such as Meta, DotDigital, Magento, Google Analytics, or Khaos is advantageous but not essential
- Training will be provided where necessary

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
