Job Specification: E-commerce & Trade Marketing Assistant

Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised E-commerce & Trade Marketing Assistant to manage the operational execution of our product data, digital listings, and marketing campaigns across multiple platforms. This varied and dynamic role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-driven environment and can juggle multiple priorities across retail and trade sectors in the UK, USA, Europe, and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing & Content Support
- Assist in the execution of newsletter campaigns targeting both B2C and B2B audiences, with the aim of enhancing brand visibility and driving sales
- Contribute to the curation of engaging content for social media accounts
- Actively engage with followers, responding to comments, messages, and enquiries professionally and promptly
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to develop creative and compelling content for various marketing materials including brochures, newsletters, and promotional campaigns
2. Online Product & Marketplace Management
- Upload, maintain and update product information and imagery across:
- Retail website
- Trade websites (UK & USA,)
- Online retail marketplaces: John Lewis, Debenhams, Freemans, Wayfair, Nivtar (Next/Robert Dyas)
- Promotional marketplaces: Brand Alley, West Wing
- Trade marketplaces: Faire
- Ensure consistency of product listings across all platforms
3. Product Launch Coordination
- Manage seasonal product launch processes (Spring/Summer & Autumn/Winter)
- Book and assist at photoshoots
- Create detailed product information spreadsheets including:
- SKU, EANs, pricing (UK, USA, DDP), dimensions (cm/in), weights, commodity codes, duty rates, and materials
- Coordinate sample allocation for agents and rep groups (UK, EU, USA, Canada)
- Manage brochure and sample order quantities by liaising with all rep teams
4. Image & Content Management
- Organise and resize lifestyle imagery for all platforms
- Take, edit, and resize plain product and packaging photography
- Rename and store images according to internal standards
5. Brochure & Price List Preparation
- Prepare and maintain product information spreadsheets:
- Manage five pricing structures (UK, USA, EURO DAP, EURO DDP, Ex-Works)
6. Trade & Retail Show Coordination
- Assist with planning and execution of up to 6 trade shows and 3 retail events per year
- Book and negotiate stand locations and supplier contracts
- Place orders for electricity, signage, and H&S requirements
- Complete online exhibitor marketing profiles and asset submissions
- Coordinate show stock and logistics
- Support stand build coordination when required
- Set up and attend shows
7. Trade Marketing Support
- UK Mailers:
- Create cover letters and customer lists per agent region
- Organise print and postage logistics, including Royal Mail sticker production and mailing
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in e-commerce, retail or trade marketing, or product admin roles
- Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets) – including data formatting and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Basic image editing experience (Photoshop, Canva, or similar)
- Strong written communication and accuracy in proofing
- Comfortable using or learning systems such as Shopify, Faire, and marketplace backends
- Creative skills
