JOB OVERVIEW:
GROW TO SCHOOL is an innovative social enterprise that works with schools to support them to take learning outside. We are seeking an outstanding Marketing and Sales Coordinator with a good understanding of the education sector, particularly Early Years through Key Stage 2. You will work closely with the Grow to School team as well as creating and nurturing new and existing external suppliers, partners and stakeholders.
As Marketing and Sales Coordinator, you will play a key role in energising new business
development and marketing efforts, working closely with the Directors and the team to increase engagement and sales opportunities. This role focuses on nurturing and following up school leads, networking, and organic marketing initiatives to grow awareness of Grow to School’s work as well as seeking and building partnerships and opportunities with new schools and the public and private sectors.
Please note that this is not a cold-calling hard-sales position, rather it is about following up on leads and talking to potential customers about the difference our work makes for children and teachers – you will be selling impact and outcomes, so we need someone that cares!

ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Marketing and Sales Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting Grow to School’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and executing marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for a proactive and organised individual with a blend of sales and marketing experience who enjoys engaging with potential clients and creating compelling content to increase awareness of our services. A good understanding of the education sector is required to make meaningful connections and create effective content.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development Support:
- Research and identify new leads and potential partnerships in the education and
business sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, local authorities, and education and
business partners.
- Support the Directors in outreach and sales efforts, including lead follow-ups.
- Represent Grow to School at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to generate interest.
- Assist in developing an effective CRM system to track leads and interactions.
- Identify, develop and set Key Performance Indicators in collaboration with the Director
of Operations, Programmes and Strategy to establish the efficacy of sales and business
development activities.
- Gather customer feedback to help shape future sales and marketing strategies.
Marketing & Communications:
- Develop and execute marketing content for social media, email campaigns,
newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Maintain and update website content to enhance visibility and lead generation.
- Track engagement and marketing effectiveness, reporting key insights to the team.
- Identify and develop new partnerships, marketing, and collaborative opportunities.
- Promote Grow to School’s products and services at events and through digital
channels.
- Create and share press releases to obtain maximum exposure for projects and events
- Identify, develop and set Key Performance Indicators in collaboration with the Director
of Operations, Programmes and Strategy to establish the efficacy of the marketing and
comms outreach campaigns
- Network with industry experts and potential clients to build brand awareness.
- Monitor and respond to website and social media queries.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Essential Experience & Skills:
- 2+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, or outreach roles.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident in social media, email marketing, and content creation.
- Ability to support sales processes, including tracking and following up on leads.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and website maintenance.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience working in education, not-for-profit, or outdoor learning.
- Familiarity with funding and sponsorship opportunities.
- Event coordination and networking experience.
Personal Qualities:
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a positive and can-do attitude.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Willing to work collaboratively in a small, hands-on team.
- Passionate about education, sustainability, and outdoor learning.
