About this role
An opportunity to help run a successful marina operation in Stratford-upon-Avon with plenty of scope to grow the business and implement new ideas.

- Support the day-to-day management of c.250 berth marina
- This role will require a mix of hands-on roles outside in all weathers and sales and customer service in the marina office
Key Accountabilities
- To maintain the site keeping it in good order, safe and secure and fully stocked with the consumables needed by customers.
- To provide cover and support to the Marina Manager in running the office and administrative activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Provide cover for management while they are absent, including responding to enquiries and sales
· Cash up the office takings ensuring the figures total correctly.
· Ensure that the building & site is secure.
· Inspect and clean toilets and showers, including bins, shower traps
· Inspect & clean Elsan tip out area.
· Inspect and clean laundry and empty token boxes.
· Litter pick daily, empty dog waste bins and monitor waste compound.
· Check pontoon areas for damage and rectify accordingly.
· Operate service quay for fuel, gas, coal sales and pump out.
· Schedule maintenance and HSE inspections including (basic electrics, plumbing, bollard maintenance)
· Ability to implement technical instructions from external partners to inc. Electric bollards, Wifi etc.
· Competent to deal with social and domestic problems, sometimes at night by yourself that occurs when requested
· Deal with and report incidents and accidents around the marina as they happen, diesel/ oil spills in water etc.
· Be willing to work in all weathers.
· The role will consist of roughly 50% cleaning duties, 25% customer service and 25% maintenance activities
OTHER DUTIES
· Assist with compiling marina newsletter each month
· Assist with planning and delivery of marina events
Person Specifications
Qualifications and Training
- Knowledge of the boating and marine environment
- Good knowledge of navigation and general seamanship (Yacht Masters Qualification desirable)
Skills and Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage conflict calmly
- Computer literacy skills (Excel, Word, and able to learn IT systems)
- Dependability/Reliability/Responsibility
- Customer service skills
- Physically able to manage manual outdoor activities
- Familiarity with Social Media platforms and Mailchimp
- Experience of practical repairs/DIY skills and ground maintenance
