About the Role
As a Machine Operator on our Day Shift, you’ll be trusted to run key machinery—including CNC machines, beam saws, laser cutters, and edgebanders—with accuracy and care. - Check Every Detail: Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure measurements, edges, finishes, and materials all meet customer and company standards.
- Maintain High Standards: Identify any discrepancies or faults, take corrective actions, and escalate where necessary.
- Keep Machines Running Smoothly: Carry out basic maintenance and daily checks to avoid downtime and ensure consistent performance.
- Work Cleanly & Safely: Follow health & safety and 5S principles to maintain an organised, hazard-free workspace.
- Contribute to Improvement: Suggest process tweaks and share observations that could improve efficiency or quality.
- Collaborate Effectively: Communicate clearly with team members to keep production flowing and meet daily goals.
Who You Are
- Detail-Obsessed: You notice the small things—whether it's a slightly rough edge, a misaligned cut, or a spec that’s slightly off—and take action to correct them.
- Experienced Operator: You have solid experience using CNCs, beam saws, laser cutters, or edgebanders in a production or joinery environment.
- Quality-Minded: You take pride in delivering consistently accurate and high-standard work.
- Proactive: You perform daily maintenance, clean as you go, and keep your tools and work area in top condition.
