Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic timber manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and a solid understanding of timber fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality production standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines to produce precision timber parts according to specifications.
- Experience on Alphacam preferable, but training can be provided
- Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files to understand production requirements.
- Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand controllers and their functions.
- Experience in fabricating components using various machining techniques.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during production processes.
- Familiarity with tooling setups and adjustments for different machining operations.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
