An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dedicated DSFS Linen Team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. This small but passionate team provides daily linen, curtain, and uniform services across the Trust. The role involves handling both sterile and non-sterile linen, as well as curtain provision.
Applicants should be computer literate or willing to learn, as the role includes administrative tasks. Physical fitness is essential due to the demanding nature of the role, which includes lifting, pushing, bending, walking, and use of the master mover.
Successful candidates must be flexible and willing to learn internal processes, documentation, receipting, and distribution. Full training will be provided. All reasonable operational requests to support service delivery and meet Trust expectations must be followed.

This is a permanent part-time role (28.5 hours/week): Mon & Fri : 6 hrs (7:00am–1:00pm)
Tue, Wed & Thu : 5.5 hrs (7:30am–1:00pm)

The linen assistant will be responsible for delivering linen provisions to the Trust via cage movement and stock cupboards at ward level and in suites/clinics. The role is responsible for taking receipt of the delivery from an external supplier for linen and sterile, delivery of linen both general and sterile and completion of all relative information to all processes around the service. Additional tasks may include stock control, data collection, ordering and emailing / speaking with suppliers.

Maintaining cleanliness of the Linen Distribution Centre
Changing of curtains throughout the Hospital when required.
