Looking for your first step into hospitality? Or just want a seaside job with a cracking team and a bit of craic along the way? We’re on the hunt for a Kitchen Porter to join the Guillemot crew; someone reliable, hard-working, and up for keeping things moving behind the scenes.
It’s not glamorous (spoiler: there will be dishes), but it’s one of the most important jobs in the building. Without you, the whole place grinds to a halt. You’ll be part of a close-knit team in a busy seaside café, with plenty of opportunities to learn and progress if hospitality is your thing.
Responsibilities
- Keeping the kitchen sparkling clean and tidy (yes, the dishes — but also surfaces, floors, pots, pans, the lot).
- Supporting the chefs by making sure they’ve got the clean kit they need to do their magic.
- Helping with basic food prep when needed (think peeling, chopping, and plating).
- Taking deliveries and organising stock.
- Being the extra set of hands that keeps the kitchen moving smoothly.
Skills (or things we’re looking for)
- Reliability - if you say you’ll be here, you’ll be here.
- A positive attitude - mucking in with the team and keeping spirits high.
- Energy - it’s a busy café, and you’ll be on your feet.
- Attention to detail - proper clean.
- Willingness to learn - if you want to grow into other roles, we’ll help get you there.
What’s in it for you?
- Work by the sea in one of Bangor’s busiest little cafés.
- Monday - Friday.
- Daytime hours - no late nights.
- Be part of a supportive, fun team.
- Opportunity to learn, progress, and build a career in hospitality if that’s where you want to go.
If this sounds like your kind of gig, hit “apply” and come see what life in the Guillemot kitchen is all about.
