POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Kitchen Porter,you’ll be the backbone of our kitchen operations — supporting chefs by keeping the kitchen clean,stocked,and ready to perform. You’ll handle everything from washing up to waste control and ensure hygiene standards are always met. It’s a hands-on,fast-paced role that requires energy,organisation,and a pride in keeping things spotless.
You don’t need professional kitchen experience — just a great attitude,good timekeeping,and a strong work ethic.
OPERATIONS:
- Clean pots,pans,dishes,and utensils quickly and thoroughly using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across sinks,surfaces,and floors.
- Assist chefs with basic prep or stock movement as needed.
- Ensure kitchen bins are regularly emptied and cleaned.
- Keep cleaning materials replenished and stored safely.
PEOPLE:
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure service runs smoothly.
- Support chefs by restocking clean equipment promptly.
- Alert team members to any issues that affect cleanliness or kitchen flow.
- Maintain a positive,respectful attitude — even during busy periods.
FOOD SAFETY & HYGIENE:
- Follow all food safety and health & safety protocols (training provided).
- Complete daily cleaning tasks and checklists.
- Handle cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH guidelines.
- Help maintain a hygienic,safe environment for staff and guests.
BRAND GUARDIANSHIP:
- Help uphold the high presentation and hygiene standards Richoux is known for.
- Handle kitchen tools,equipment,and crockery with care and pride.
- Represent the kitchen team professionally,with courtesy and effort every shift.
