If the above sounds good to you - why not join us on the journey? We are currently recruiting for an Junior IT Systems Administrator based in Leicester.
Key Responsibilities of a Junior IT Systems Administrator:
- Assisting with the management of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and other supplies
- Performing routine system checks, applying updates and patches, and maintaining hardware and software inventory.
- Providing technical support to end-users, often through a ticketing system.
- Ensuring compliance with our ISO27001 ISMS and security of IT systems by following security protocols, monitoring for threats, and managing user access.
- Support, develop, optimize and maintain internal IT systems including hardware, software and networking.
- Ensure that backups are performed, and that security and DR systems are maintained.
- Generate high quality documentation as required.
- Assist with the investigation, planning, deployment and migration to new and replacement systems.
- Stay on track with professional development and develop own technical knowledge, aligned to Company objectives.
Typical projects of a Junior IT Systems Administrator include:
- Procurement, implementation, support, monitoring and maintenance of internal hardware - servers, pc’s, printers, network etc. – and software systems.
- Hardware implementation and support on customer sites, requiring travel and close liaison with customers in a professional manner.
- Deployment and support of software to servers and client workstations.
- Being reactive to urgent service desk and project tasks.
You will hold a good set of A levels, or equivalent, and have some practical hands on administration and support experience with IT hardware, networking, operating systems and software.

- Ansible, Terraform

- Oracle DB, MS SQL DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL
