Role Purpose
As we continue to evolve into a more insight-led, data-driven organisation, this role represents a step forward in how we use insight to support business performance. The Insights Partner will work within the Reporting & Analytics team and be dedicated to partnering with Operations, one of the most complex and vital parts of our business.
By closely aligning with operational leaders, the role will help turn analysis into meaningful business insight that supports improved service, efficiency, and customer outcomes. It’s not about reporting on what’s happened, but about understanding why things happen, identifying trends and root causes, and enabling better business decisions as a result.
This is a highly collaborative role that requires curiosity, commercial awareness, and the confidence to engage, challenge, and influence. The Insights Partner will work across teams and functions, listening to business needs, translating them into questions that data can answer, and ensuring that insight is embedded into operational thinking
Key Accountabilities
Business Partnering
- Act as the primary contact for insight within the Operations function, building strong relationships and providing high-quality, trusted support.
- Work closely with stakeholders across Operations and Belron Group to align insight to strategic goals and operational priorities.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to understand business context and ensure insight meets real-world needs.
Insight Generation
- Use data to provide deep, actionable insight into key business questions and initiatives, supporting informed decision-making.
- Analyse large, complex datasets across multiple systems to identify performance opportunities and root causes.
- Present insight with narrative and clarity, bringing data to life for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactively identify trends, patterns and opportunities to support continuous improvement.
Performance & KPI Impact
- Support operational performance by developing Power BI dashboards and reports focused on key metrics and the levers that influence them.
- Monitor and improve business performance through timely and relevant insight that supports decision-making.
- Support the delivery of operational goals by ensuring insight is accessible, relevant and actionable.
Reporting Excellence & Data Integrity
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all regular and ad hoc reports, documenting any improvements or changes.
- Champion ‘one version of the truth’ by aligning with the broader data strategy and maintaining control of data sources.
- Work closely with the Data Engineering team to ensure data foundations are robust and sustainable.
- Support the delivery of the wider data strategy by ensuring insight is built on consistent, trusted data — reinforcing the connection between data, reporting and business decision-making.
Insight-Led Projects & Strategic Support
- Lead on specific insight initiatives and projects that enable operational improvement and transformation.
- Deliver analysis and insight to agreed timelines, aligned to business needs and priorities.
- Contribute to business forums and performance reviews by providing clear, focused analysis aligned to key challenges and opportunities.
Skills / Experience
- Demonstrable experience in an insight partnering role, ideally within a complex, operational environment
- Strong track record of using insight to influence decisions, shape performance conversations, and drive measurable business improvement
- Proficient in translating technical or data-led challenges into clear, actionable insight and solutions that meet business needs
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills, confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels to share insight and support action
- Logical, pragmatic and commercially focused, with the ability to apply creative thinking to solve business challenges
- Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Excel and Power BI, with experience using SQL and Snowflake to work with large datasets and ensure insight is built on robust, trusted data
- Experience of working collaboratively with data engineering or technical teams to ensure data foundations support business needs
