As a HR Support Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our HR Shared Services, providing proactive and high-quality support to the Head of HR Shared Services, the Executive Assistant, and The People Hub Team.

Our HR operations function will be moving into our Newcastle office in the coming months. That means you’ll be based onsite at our Newcastle office three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday), with the flexibility to work from home on the remaining days.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver responsive and accurate support across invoicing, reporting, office coordination, and inbox management.
- Prepare clear, well-structured materials for meetings and presentations.
- Respond to L&D queries, keeping records up to date and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
- Support senior team members with day-to-day tasks and ad hoc requests.
- Recommend and implement improvements using digital tools and smarter ways of working.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the People & Culture function to support shared goals.
- Help coordinate team events, training sessions, and engagement activities.
- Provide cover for other administrators and PAs to maintain continuity and consistent support.
- Deliver excellent internal customer service, setting clear expectations and prioritising effectively.
- Take ownership of administrative tasks with a proactive, solutions-focused attitude.
What you’ll bring:
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, including Excel (intermediate) and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
- Strong numerical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Digitally literate with a proactive approach to using technology for efficiency.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working across varied tasks.
- Able to engage constructively across all levels of the organisation.
- High level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally.
- Organised and meticulous, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
