Key responsibilities: Lead the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding (induction), performance management, and exit processes. Ensure HR policies are up-to-date and regularly reviewed. Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on employment policies, procedures and best practice. Support workforce planning initiatives.
Oversee employee relations matters, ensuring timely, fair, and legally compliant resolutions. Ensure HR records, systems, and data are accurate, up-to-date and CQC and GDPR-compliant. Coordinate appraisals and probationary review meetings liaise with team leaders. Assist with return-to-work reviews.
Ensure mandatory training is up-to-date. Assist with payroll preparation with the finance team. Maintain adequate records of staff absences. Contribute to creating a positive, supportive, and high-performing work culture.
To attend appropriate HR minutes and take minutes where required Ideal skills and experience: Proven HR leadership, coordination or management experience. Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Competent IT skills, including HR systems and Microsoft Office.
