Housing Officer (Financial Inclusion)
1x permanent position available with a competitive pay and benefits package including a starting salary of £33,879 per annum, rising to £37,548 per annum after key competencies of the role are met.
You will be managing a caseload of welfare benefit cases, providing accurate, comprehensive benefit entitlement advice and support to tenants, to include making benefit claims and appeal work, ensuring they receive the help they need. This will include providing welfare benefits advice via telephone and face to face. You will need good organisational skills, excellent communication skills as well as an understanding of the challenges faced by low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders.
Reporting to the Housing Team Leader, this role will manage caseloads by organising work effectively for the service.
To be successful in the role of Housing Officer our new team member will be educated to Level 4/HNC in a relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
The successful candidate will also require a satisfactory DBS check upon appointment.
