Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our front desk and supporting various administrative tasks. A background in hospitality or guest services is essential, along with strong phone etiquette, PMS knowledge and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage incoming phone calls, directing them to the appropriate departments while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
- Handle guest inquiries and provide information about services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Assist with check-in and check-out processes in a timely manner.
- Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable at all times.
- Coordinate bookings and reservations as needed, ensuring accuracy in all details.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Experience
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role is required, particularly within the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in using office equipment and basic computer software applications.
