Join Our Team as a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Administrator!

Location: Northallerton/Thirsk (with occasional travel across North Yorkshire)
Salary: Grade 2/3 – £23,286 to £25,626 (FTE)
Contract: Permanent – NYFRS
Hours: 18.5 per week

  • Wednesday & Thursday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
  • Friday: 9:00am – 4:30pm

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented administrator to join our dedicated Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. This is a unique opportunity to work across both Health & Wellbeing and Health & Safety functions, supporting vital services for North Yorkshire Police (NYP), North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (NYFRS), and the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (OPFCC).


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Be the friendly face and first point of contact for wellbeing services.
  • Prepare and manage documentation for medical appointments and referrals.
  • Handle sensitive data with care and precision.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support diary management.
  • Respond to queries with empathy and professionalism.
  • Assist in coordinating wellbeing events across the region.
  • Liaise with external agencies and help produce training materials.
  • Contribute to service improvements and provide insightful data reports.

  • Strong IT and organisational skills.
  • Ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy.
