Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care home settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standards of care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A driving licence is preferred for this position to facilitate travel between care locations.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
- Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that all needs are met.
- Monitor and report any changes in the health or behaviour of residents to the appropriate staff members.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist with administrative tasks as required.
- Foster a supportive and respectful environment for all residents, promoting dignity and choice.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care is highly desirable.
- Good communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
- A valid driving licence is beneficial for those required to travel between locations.
