The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dynamic Head of Supply Chain to lead our Customers & Corporate Supply Chain team. This is a high-impact leadership role working alongside business leaders, ensuring EDF benefits from efficient, transparent, and value-adding procurement services. The team manages contracts worth over £1.1bn annually.

As part of the Customers Finance Leadership Team, you’ll have a key voice in strategic decision-making. You’ll lead a talented team of around 40 UK-based professionals (plus offshore support), foster a culture of service-driven excellence, and support EDF’s transformation goals through sustainable sourcing, innovation, and digital tools such as AI and automation.

To succeed, you’ll bring exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and process management skills, alongside commercial experience. You’ll also have the confidence to influence at senior levels and contribute to EDF’s broader strategic goals.

Pay, benefits and culture

Alongside a competitive salary and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal.

We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.

At EDF UK, we recognise that everyone's working needs are different and embrace flexibility. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.

Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.

We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for leading and managing the Corporate and Customers Supply Chain team, working hand in glove with business leaders to support profitability objectives, promoting a clear vision for the function, developing its capabilities to drive a culture of excellent service to stakeholders whilst providing value for money, ensuring safety, wellbeing and sustainability across the Supply Chain and wider team.

Who you are

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a strong, people-focused leader with a service-oriented mindset and a collaborative approach. You’ll challenge the status quo, drive continuous improvement, and inspire great performance across your team.

You’ll bring experience managing complex stakeholder needs and leading within a procurement, supply chain, or commercial environment. Strong process management, communication, and influencing skills are essential.

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate proven commercial experience either in a previous supply chain/procurement role, or other commercial role within a high-calibre environment. Your drive, knowledge and experience is more important than qualifications. You’ll also be committed to promoting sustainability, wellbeing, and safety, while leveraging tools like automation and AI to enhance efficiency.

If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you!
