A permanent vacancy for a Groundskeeper is available in the Leek area of Staffordshire. The role is expected to operate on a minimum of 3 days / week for the majority of the calendar year – with flexibility for more days or hours to be worked in the Spring and Summer months.
This position will involve working on private / domestic grounds which include Stables & Riding facilities, with the potential for a requirement to operate across multiple commercial sites in Staffordshire when needed.
The suitable person will have an in-depth knowledge of profession grounds maintenance and horticulture – including; topiary, woodland, kitchen gardens, ponds – as well the ability to use machinery such as ride-on mowers, gators, trimmers, blowers and jet-washers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mowing, hedge cutting, trimming, blowing, and sweeping
- Weeding and general tidying of grounds
- Use of various machinery and tools: tractors, ride-on mowers, push-along mowers, and gator riding
- Hedge and topiary trimming
- Jet washing and gutter cleaning
- Rubbish runs and removal of waste
- Path maintenance and weed control
- Greenhouse, fruit and vegetable garden, and kitchen garden management (preferable but not 100% required)
- Pond maintenance and plant care (preferable but not 100% required)
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as required
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Good plant knowledge and understanding of core horticultural requirements
- Experience working independently and as part of a small team
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Ability to work across multiple locations
- References required

Pay: £15,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
