Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and possess the necessary skills to maintain and enhance the beauty of our landscapes. This role involves a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance, gardening, and general upkeep of outdoor areas.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators for various maintenance tasks.
- Carry out general gardening duties including planting, weeding, and mulching to promote healthy plant growth.
- Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools and equipment used in grounds maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members on larger construction or landscaping projects as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating and maintaining equipment.
- Familiarity with gardening techniques and plant care is essential.
- Experience in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery relevant to grounds maintenance tasks.
