Job Purpose
To support the delivery, monitoring and continuous improvement of clinical governance processes for a leading digital healthcare provider. The Clinical Governance Coordinator will support in ensuring that safe, effective and high quality care is consistently delivered across the service.
Reports to: Clinical Governance Manager
Clinical Governance
- Support with maintaining and monitoring the Clinical Governance Framework and ensure alignment with regulatory standards (e.g. CQC)
- Support with the coordination of policies, SOPs across the service including regular reviews and appropriately archiving where necessary.
- Promote continuous quality improvement across the organisation, seeking opportunities to improve the efficiencies of systems and processes within the quality governance function.
Complaint & incident Management / Risk Management
- Support on incident reporting system in conjunction with the Clinical Lead and Clinical Governance Manager; ensuring the Significant Event (SE) and incident process is followed and completed to the required standard.
- Ensure all incidents and complaints are risk assessed, investigated and robust action plans are in place to mitigate outstanding risk.
- Support with identifying and reporting on key trends and themes of SEs, incidents and complaints.
- Support with incident and complaint audits when and where required.
- Collate, and prepare data for relevant reports in order to share findings and learnings.
Audit & Quality Improvement
- Support with ongoing clinical audits, collecting and analysing data to identify key areas for improvement.
- Support with any audit scheduling and quality improvement activities.
General / Support
- Provide administrative support to Governance meetings including action tracking.
- Support in being CQC ‘inspection ready’.
- Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive and confidential information including personal data.
Skills & attributes
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise your workloads and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Able to work with staff at all levels across the organisation
- Self-motivated, proactive and committed with excellent interpersonal skills
Experience
- Experience in healthcare or clinical governance role
- Knowledge of regulatory healthcare frameworks (e.g. CQC, NICE)
- Familiarity of incident and complaint reporting systems (e.g. RADAR) would be beneficial but not essential.

- Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
