Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities through regular maintenance and repairs. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers for equipment monitoring and control.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Read and interpret schematics to diagnose problems effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Oversee facilities maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with staff and clients regarding maintenance needs.
- Assist in residential painting projects as required.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and leadership.
Skills
- Proficiency in electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various equipment.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with welding processes and techniques.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Leadership experience, particularly in supervising maintenance teams.
- Competence in using an ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics.
