Full-Time Dog Daycare Assistant – Join The Dog Club Maldon
Location: Maldon, Essex
Salary: Competitive – based on experience
Hours: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week (including occasional weekends)
About the Role:
The Dog Club Maldon is a private members-style dog daycare and training club with a reputation for excellence. We’re looking for a full-time, qualified Dog Daycare Assistant to join our dedicated and passionate team.
This role is not suitable for casual dog lovers. We’re looking for someone with professional, hands-on experience and recognised qualifications in animal care, ideally used to working with large groups of dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Supervising dogs during enrichment, exercise, and rest periods
- Working closely with a team to manage routines and structured group play
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
- Supporting behavioural training and calm socialisation
- Travelling in our daycare vehicles for dog collections and drop-offs (age dependen)
You Must:
- Hold a Level 2 or higher qualification in Animal Care or equivalent
- Be confident handling large groups of dogs
- Have a natural affinity with animals and calm, assertive energy
- Be happy working in all weather conditions – rain, mud, wind, and sun!
- Be reliable, physically fit, and able to work 10-hour shifts
- Be a true team player with strong communication skills
- Drive and have your own vehicle

Schedule:
- 4 days per week (10-hour shifts)
- Must be available for occasional weekend shifts

This role is not suitable for someone who classifies pet ownership as professional experience. Applicants must hold formal qualifications and be confident in group dog handling.
