Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual responsible for Frying activities at the fish n chips shop. The ideal candidate will have a prior experience of frying fish and chip.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking by chopping, slicing, and measuring as required.
- Operate frying equipment safely and efficiently to cook food items to perfection.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.
- Follow recipes accurately while also being open to creating new dishes or variations.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Previous culinary experience is highly desirable, particularly in a restaurant environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues.

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
