Role Overview:
As a Fryer/Kitchen Assistant, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, especially perfecting our signature fish and chips. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and delivering a great dining experience for our customers. You must be 18 years of age or older to use the frying equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food, including frying fish, chips, and other menu items to company standards.
- Ensure food is cooked to order efficiently and served fresh.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, such as portioning, battering, and prepping ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
- Monitor stock levels and report replenishment needs to the supervisor.
- Always adhere to food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a kitchen or fryer role is preferred but not essential, as full training can be provided.
- A hardworking and reliable individual with a passion for cooking.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- A proactive team player with good communication skills.
