Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Fryer, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality fried foods while maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests receive delicious meals that meet our restaurant's standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety guidelines are strictly followed, including proper handling, storage, and cooking temperatures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station and surrounding areas.
- Assist in meal preparation by preparing ingredients as needed for other kitchen staff.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy periods.
- Help with inventory management by reporting stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies when necessary.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in food preparation within a culinary or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly regarding cooking times and presentation of dishes.
- Team player with good communication skills, able to assist colleagues as needed.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
