Job Summary
Easy Housing Association seeks an organised and diligent Finance Assistant to support our finance operations. You’ll play a key role in managing day-to-day ledgers, income reconciliation, invoice processing, and audit preparation—ensuring smooth financial services for our organisation and residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices, record keeping, and maintain purchase ledger
- Reconcile income sources (rent, service charges, direct debits) and perform weekly/monthly bank reconciliations
- Post journals including accruals, prepayments, and maintain nominal ledger
- Assist with month-end management accounts and control account work
- Support audit processes by preparing documentation and liaising with external auditors
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GDPR and internal policy
- Provide ad-hoc financial support to the Financial Controller and wider EHA team
Person Specification
Essential:
- AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) or ≥1 year of finance/accounting experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience in housing finance or with rent accounting systems
- Familiarity with Xero, or similar finance software
