We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join our Finance Team, conveniently located in central Salisbury. Your key responsibilities will be working as an integral member of the Finance Team to ensure that financial accounting is delivered in a timely and accurate manner at the highest achievable standard. You will be given 1 day a week as day release to attend a formal course of study leading to a Level 3 qualification in Finance/ Accountancy (provided by Wiltshire College). The course will commence in January 2025, however employment with the company can commence prior to that date.
You will ideally be:
- Have good grades in GCSE / A Level; in Maths and English
- Good Communicator
- Excellent Team Player
- Confident in using Excel
- Comfortable in operating on a large amounts of data

What will you be doing?
- Reviewing and responding to account payable and account receivable queries as required.
- Processing invoices and ledger entries into accounts as required.
- Support with the annual audit for the group and corporate entities, including liaising with auditors and assisting to resolve queries throughout the audit.
- Support preparation of statutory returns such as the Year End Accounts and VAT Returns for all Regent’s Park Healthcare Group companies.
- Assist with the Budget and Forecasting processes.
- Daily banking, payment allocation and updating of cash receipts.
- Liaising with Private Medical Insurers and responding to billing queries.
- Support the Senior Management Team with projects and ad hoc analysis.
- Actively look for process and control improvements and where possible implement them with support and guidance from the Head of Finance.
What we can offer:
- A Full-Time, 09:00-17:00 position (37.5 hours per week). Immediate start.
- Monday to Friday schedule – one day at college per week (commencing from Jan 2025).
- 25 days of annual leave entitlement (FTE) + 8 Bank Holiday, increasing to 27 days + 8 Bank Holidays after 3 years, 30 days + 8 Bank Holidays after 5 years and 33 days + 8 Bank Holidays after 10 years!
