Family Lives are looking for Family Mentors to support families with children from 5-11 years old, through a range of different befriending projects. We aim to support families to cope with the challenges of everyday life and help to strengthen the relationships between parents and child.
If you have a heart for your community and can understand and show compassion towards the challenges parents are facing today, then this could be the volunteering opportunity you are looking for.
Activities might include:
· Accompanying parents to meetings with professionals, if required
· Providing a listening ear, offering friendship and encouragement
· Helping parents to increase their confidence in themselves.

Do you have?
· A friendly and non-judgemental attitude
· Good listening and communication skills
· A commitment to volunteering for two hours per week for a minimum of six months
· The ability to record accurate information manually
This is an UNPAID ROLE, however out of pocket expenses will be paid.

Volunteer training dates TBC
All candidates must attend full 16 hours core volunteer training to complete the course
All training sessions take place remotely via MS Teams.
Please note enhanced DBS and referencing is essential for this role
