Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Mentor to join our alternative provision located in Basford, Nottingham. The ideal candidate will play an important role in guiding and supporting young people with complex needs. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering personal growth and development through effective mentoring practices. The Mentor will work closely with our students, providing necessary support and guidance to achieve their goals.
Duties
- Provide support and guidance to young people in the provision
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to young people's development.
- Facilitate workshops or group sessions as necessary focused on life skills, self-esteem, and social interaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in mentoring or youth work especially with young people with complex needs is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with young people.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
