Facilities and Security Assistant
Salary: – £32,560 per annum
Full Time – Permanent: 35 hours per week, shift work, Monday to Friday with the possibility of additional ad hoc weekend work
GS Plus Ltd Facilities Management Services are seeking a motivated and personable FM/Security Assistant to join our team based at Woolwich Town Hall. This is a full-time, key role in supporting the effective delivery of Facilities services at this prestigious and high-profile location.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Facilities Manager you will provide both Facilities and Security services on behalf of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, ensuring the building operates smoothly, securely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide support for the smooth daily operation of all FM services.
- Set up meeting rooms, including AV equipment, liaising with RBG IT where necessary, and coordinate room bookings with reception staff.
- Respond to enquiries and correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
- To log monitor and carry out minor repairs.
- Ensure building users comply with H&S policies and procedures.
- Maintain building protocols, including locking/unlocking access doors and operating alarm systems.
- Conduct regular internal and external security patrols, remaining alert to unauthorised individuals or suspicious packages in or around the building.
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 1 year experience in a FM/Security role
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or FM logging repairs software
- A good working knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- To hold a current SIA door supervision licence or be working towards achieving this
- Ability to work effectively, flexibly and to deal with conflicting situations if necessary
