Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organised Front of House Dental Receptionist to join our welcoming dental practice. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in creating a positive and lasting first impression, while ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all front-of-house operations. Exceptional customer service skills and a warm, approachable manner are essential.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling as necessary.
- Handle incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Assist with insurance verification and claims processing.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy, welcoming, and well-presented at all times.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication and workflow within the practice.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using office software and dental management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly, confident, and approachable personality with a passion for providing outstanding patient care.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Dental Receptionist or a Dental Nurse with reception experience, looking to progress into a Treatment Coordinator (TCO), receptionist, or administrative role. A naturally chatty and friendly demeanour is a must, as is a proactive attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for patient interaction.
