Job Role: Endoscopy Decontamination Supervisor
Location: PRUH, Orpington Vanguard Unit, and other KFM sites
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £31,500 - £35,500 per annum + up to 12 % annual bonus
We’re looking for an organised, hands-on Endoscopy Decontamination Supervisor to ensure our decontamination service for flexible endoscopes runs smoothly, safely, and to the highest standards. You’ll lead technicians, ensure compliance with regulations, and act as Deputy Designated User for endoscopy decontamination.
What you’ll do:
Oversee daily delivery of a high-quality endoscope decontamination service
Ensure safe use and maintenance of equipment (washer disinfectors, RO units, drying cabinets)
Lead, train, and support technicians, ensuring compliance with SOPs and best practice
Liaise with clinical teams, KFM managers, and external suppliers to resolve service issues
Monitor resources, audits, and stock to maintain efficiency and quality
Support implementation of Quality Management System requirements
What we’re looking for:
City & Guilds in Management of Flexible Endoscopes (or equivalent experience)
Level 2/3 CMI or equivalent management qualification
Proven experience supervising or leading teams in a healthcare or decontamination setting
Strong understanding of risk management, health & safety, and quality systems
Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate others
Flexible, logical, and committed to high standards
Desirable:
Supervisory qualification
Experience in endoscopy decontamination at supervisor or technician level
Knowledge of decontamination legislation and electronic tracking systems
