We’re looking for experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Workers to lead by example and help shape the future of young people in our care.
At Care and Support Services, we provide safe, structured homes for children and young people with complex needs. As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll be a key part of the leadership team — mentoring junior staff, supporting young people through challenging times, and ensuring our homes run smoothly day-to-day.
What You'll Need:
- Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare – essential
- UK Driving Licence – essential
- Right to work in the UK – we do not offer sponsorship
- At least 2 years of experience in a children’s residential care setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamworking skills
- Confidence in handling incidents and supporting with shift planning
- A trauma-informed and safeguarding-first approach
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading shifts and supporting the Home Manager and Deputy
- Mentoring and supervising Residential Support Workers
- Building consistent, trusting relationships with the young people in your care
- Ensuring compliance with care plans, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards
- Completing reports, incident logs, and all key documentation
- Liaising with families, professionals, and the wider care team
