We are looking for a Distribution Administrator to join our small but mighty team at our Drinks site in Bathgate, EH48. Reporting to the Regional Distribution Manager, you will be accountable for the smooth day to day running of the transport operation, ensuring drivers have correct documentation and are ready to deliver at all times!

This is a full-time, permanent role and you will be required to work Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £ 26,000.00 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Handle day to day queries from drivers, customers and other internal departments
  • Co-ordinate both timely and low-cost deliveries to ensure Customer Service levels are met
  • Continually seek cost improvement methods to improve the overall running of the department
  • Ensure that all drivers are pre-briefed and debriefed in conjunction with the debrief system and that all paperwork is accurately completed and signed
  • Timely and accurate inputting of both Customer and Own Fleet information into Management Systems

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Good communication skills and telephone manner, efficient planning skills and an ability to analyse statistical information in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers & other internal departments
  • A methodical approach combined with attention to administrative detail and able to create basic MS Excel formulas
  • Self-starter with a flexible and positive attitude with good organisation skills with ability to prioritise work
